Notes: Kyonishiki tapestry from the looms of Nishi-jin, Kyoto, Japan in original wooden frame and box. Not previously opened; mint condition. Made from gold, silver and silk thread. Dimension of tapestry: 5" x 6.5" . Dimensions with frame 10.25" x 9". According to the enclosed document "The sights of the three great festivals in the ancient (Gion, Jidai, and Aio festivals) and the manners and customs of our ancestor in Heian Period are woven in a style of dazzling gorgeousness into this Kyonishiki." Includes stand in original packaging. Purchased new at Mitsu Koshi Department Store in Kyoto in 1983. Still in store wrapping. Additional photos available upon request.
