We send a shipping notification e-mail with every order. Please make sure our e-mail address is in your address book or on your list of approved senders to make sure you receive it, or any other communication we need to send you regarding your order.
Do you need to return an item you purchased from us?
Our return policy is simple and straightforward:
1. All items must be returned in the same condition in which they were shipped.
If an item had bubble wrap when it was shipped, it must be returned with the bubble wrap, in a similar box with packing paper.
There can be no signs of additional use or wear, other than what was stated in the description.
Books shipped with CD-ROMs or similar accompanying media must be included with the return. If these components were sealed when they were shipped, they must still be sealed upon return.
2. Items eligible for return must be mailed back to us within 14 days of receipt.
We use the Delivery Confirmation delivery date shown on the US Postal Service's web site as the first day of receipt. For international orders, you must contact us for a return authorization within 3 weeks of the day we shipped your item.
3. If the return is due to our error, we'll e-mail you a prepaid shipping label.
As hard as we try not to, on rare occasion we'll miss a flaw on an item. Since we handle thousands of items, many of which are used, once in a while an unusual flaw comes up that we don't typically look for. If that happens, we will always pay for the return shipping, as well as refund the full purchase price and original shipping charge.
If the return is due to a customer error - the wrong item was ordered, a class was dropped, "buyer remorse", etc., the customer is responsible to pay for return shipping. We will refund the cost of the item only, not the original shipping charge. We reserve the right to charge a 10% restocking fee as well, to cover packing costs, handling time, and other expenses associated with the return.
4. Regardless of the reason, always contact us immediately if you need to return an item.
We will provide you with instructions on how to ship an item back to receive proper credit. Please do NOT return an item until you have first received authorization from us. Please package the item carefully (use our original shipping materials if they're still intact); we reserve the right to reduce the refund amount, up to 100% of the value of the item, if it is damaged in transit due to improper packaging.
5. Refunds will be issued once the item has been safely returned to us.
Your original payment method will be credited once we have the item in hand. We process returns within 2 business days and will notify you by e-mail as soon as the refund has been issued, along with any adjustments that were made.
We respect your privacy. We do not sell or share your name, address, e-mail address, or purchase information with third parties. We may use the information you provide us to contact you about your order, or to send you promotional information about Imperial Books. If we send you a marketing e-mail, you will always have the opportunity to "opt out" of future e-mails.
