Notes: Printed text of the appeal of John Churchill, Duke of Malborough (1650-1722) to the House of Lords regarding claims against him for expenses incurred in the construction of Blenhe Palace. Consists of four page folio. Some separation at folds. Blenheim Palace was constructed for malborough to honor him for his victories against the French including the Battle of Blenheim. Excessive costs and Malborough's fall from favor with Queen Anne put completion of the project in financial jeopardy. This document was a part of this legal process.
