Notes: Signed handwritten one page letter with postal marks on reverse side from the Manhattan Company New York dated 20 April 1836 signed by Robert White, the Bank Cashier, to A. E. Flagg, Esq. in Albany regarding a loan transaction. The Manhattan Company, founded in 1799, was one of the major banks in New York when letter written. Eventually through a series of mergers it became the Chase Manhattan Bank. Dimensions: 8" x 10" open. Folds into 9 panels for mailing. VG condition - no tears.
