Notes: Handwritten letter from GEORGE LEVENSON-GOWER,2ND EARL GRANVILLE (1815-1891), dated April 2, 1866. Lord Grandville was a British Liberal statesman who in a political career spanning over 50 years, served as Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs where he was a lead author of foreign affairs from 1870–1874 and 1880–1885.
