Notes: Handwritten two page letter and mailing envelope, dated May 4, 1869, from SIR CHARLES MANSFIELD CLARKE (1782-1857). Clarke was a British Surgeon who was the Royal Physician to Queen Adelaide, wife of Wiliam IV which resulted of his becoming a Baronet of Dunham Lodge in 1831. Dimensions of letter: 4.5" x 7" includes last two pages. Envelope: 5" x 2.5" including a penny black stamp. Letter in VG condition qiiiith some mounting residue.
