Notes: Signed handwritten two page letter from John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll (1845-1914), dated November 11,1879 his response to Lord Salisbury. John Campbell was a British Noble who served as Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883 and husband to Princess Louise, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria. He also was a founder and first president of the Rangers Football Club. Letter dimensions: 4.5” x 7” with seal VG condition with two folds. Additional photos available upon request.
