Notes: Signed handwritten three page letter from John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll (1845-1914), dated January 2, 1891, about the laws regarding the ownership of land. John Campbell was a British Noble who served as Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883 and husband to Princess Louise, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria. Letter dimensions: 4.5” x 7” with seal of the Argyll Lodge VG condition with three folds and small smudge on one of the letters. Additional photos available upon request.
