Notes: Signed drawing by George Poulton (1828-1867) dated 9th Jan. '63 entitled "You can't move him Recollections of Yates & Powsis Entertainment". George Poulton was a 19th Century English artist, musician and composer. On reverse side is an eight line note from George Scharf (1820-1895) dated April 25th, 1863. Scharf was an English writer on art and served as first secretary of the National Portrait Gallery (1857) and then director (1888). Additional photos available upon request.
