Notes: Signed letter and stamped envelope by Thomas Denman, Baron Denman, dated December 28, 1830. Denman was an English abolitionist and judge. He served as Solicitor General to Queen Charlotte (1820), Attorney General (1830), M. P. (1818-1826; 1830-1832), Lord Chief Justice (1832-1850); speaker of the House of Lords (1835). Offering includes two page letter signed by Denman to Sir Charles involving franking. Included is a franked envelope to Sir K. Taylor signed by Denman. Dimensions of letter: 7.5" x 4.25"; Dimensions of Envelope cover: 5.5" x 3.5". Letter has two folds; letter is cover only. Both in VG condition. Additional photos available upon request.
