He served as Solicitor General to Queen Charlotte (1820), Attorney General (1830), M. P. (1818-1826; 1830-1832), Lord Chief Justice (1832-1850); speaker of the House of Lords (1835). Offering includes two page letter signed by Denman to Sir Charles involving franking. Included is a franked envelope to Sir K. Taylor signed by Denman. Dimensions of letter: 7.5" x 4.25"; Dimensions of Envelope cover: 5.5" x 3.5". Letter has two folds; letter is cover only. Both in VG condition. Additional photos available upon request.
