Notes: Autographed 2.25" x 3.5" stiff card by William Cosmo Gordon Lang (1864-1945), dated 23 January 1930, while he was serving as the Archbishop of Canterbury (1928-1942). Included is a signed picture postcard (5.5” x 3.25”) of Lang signed by him when he served as the Bishop of Stepney, a community at the East end of London. It is postmarked March 3, 1908 which was just prior to his elevation to serve as Archbishop of York (1908-1928). In May 1937, as Archbishop of Canterbury, Lang presided over the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. On retirement in 1942 Lang was designated as Baron Lang of Lambeth where he participated in the House of Lords until his death in 1945. Sku: 035201
